Scientific name: Chavica siriboa Miq
Note: As is well-known the leaves of the first species are never chewed in the Moluccas but rather the fruits of the second species together with lime and gambier. It is incorrectly called Bida maran and Bida masofo by Miguel. The reason given by him, taken from Rumphius, as to why Ch. siriboa is preferred to Ch. Betle, is not plausible.
