Note: KUL, WAWₕ, BNG (Saro, Rahim, et al. 1982:90), MRBₕ, PAD (Lara, Larobu, et al. 1991:39), TOLₕ (Muthalib, Alimuddin, Chalik, et al. 1985:71): manu. The reduplicated form manu-manu is also used throughout the Bungku-Tolaki area meaning ‘bird’. [PMP *manuk ‘hen, bird, animal’ (Dempwolff, etc., in Zorc 1971 2438)]
