Etymology: Possible Austronesian borrowing, cf. PMP *leku 'bend, fold, folding part of the body; curl up on the ground, of an animal' (ACD). Known reflexes in Austronesian languages in Timor do not fit well with meaning in Wersing, e.g., Tokodede |fn{leku} 'cross legs or arms', |fn{k|leku} 'bent, crooked'.
